Brecon Beacons Dreaming

First and best Valentine's day of my life was spent in a lovely little converted cottage outside the village of Bwlch in the Brecon Beacons.  Can you pronounce that name?  I certainly can't, but what a wonderful place.  In the deep mid-winter, this minibreak was so warm with a wood-burning fireplace, stunning views during walks on the bluffs and the best company ever.

We had the gorgeous meals prepared by the UK's best chef.

While London Sleeps

Outpatient procedures in London often require patients to arrive on-site, nil-by-mouth by 7am.  This necessitated me to drive to St. Barts in the darkest, dampest hours of the morning in late January. Which then meant parking in the Smithfields underground car park.  For a photographer, it's places and moments like this that can be the most fortuitous.  I'm a vegetarian, but the Smithfields meat market offers a brilliant opportunity to capture carcasses, white suits & wellies and strategically placed fluorescent lights.  And some very warm, friendly meat packers.
